Person-Centred Counselling
I'm Nathan Synge, a BACP-registered counsellor offering online and in-person sessions in Brighton, with a day in London each week. No diagnoses, no scripts — just a genuine, unhurried space to understand yourself more clearly.
You might be carrying something specific — anxiety, a loss, a relationship that's changed shape. Or it might be harder to name: a low hum of unease, a sense of being stuck. Either way, this is a space to slow down and think it through, at your pace, without judgement.
Person-centred counselling puts you at the centre of the process. I won't diagnose you, advise you, or tell you what your problem "really" is — my role is to offer a steady, honest presence while you find your own way through.
I believe people already hold the capacity for growth within them. What often gets in the way is feeling unheard, or having to perform a version of yourself that isn't quite true. Therapy, done well, is somewhere that pressure can drop.
Sessions run weekly, for 50 minutes, either online or face to face — whichever suits how you're feeling week to week.
However you choose to meet, sessions are £[XX] per 50 minutes, usually weekly. A small number of concessionary spaces are available — do ask.

Video sessions from the comfort of your own space — often the easiest way to begin.

I'm a BACP-registered counsellor working within a person-centred approach. Before training as a therapist, [one line of background — what led you here]. I bring that same care and attentiveness into the therapy room.
I hold a strong belief that people are the experts on their own lives — my job isn't to fix or direct, but to walk alongside you as you find clarity in your own way.
There's no obligation — just an honest conversation about whether working together feels right for you.
